# Catching up

Hi,

Having said goodbye to Red/Nikon once H2 was doomed it is several years since I even thought about 3D (or h4v whatever…) So I thought I’d sign-up and check in to see what’s happening. I sort of expected at least “rumours” of a Leia phone or new pad but… is Leia only offering the Immersity app to the public these days? An app I tried but it gets very confused and I was disappointed (looks like the sort of thing the IG etc. crowd would love). Is there anything in the works? I see reviews to various devices but _prima facie_ nothing to rival the hyperbole of the “Media Machine” (!). A bit iff a shame really as Jim’s original vision (with Leia’s help of course) seems to have evaporated. Would love to be wrong.

From what I understand, Leia seems to be going more of the OEM route and providing 3D technology for partners, the new Samsung Odyssey 3D is based on their design. I did see some recent trade-show press with a phone, though seems to me to be a tech demo kind of thing. Unless something changes, I doubt we will see a Lume Pad 3 or anything like that, but perhaps from partners if this 3D thing actually gets more popular.

Anyway, I also have the impression that original vision evaporated unfortunately. Many nice services/apps/ and apparently even tools for developers are discontinued, but I might be wrong.
