# Lume pad 2 photos only 9.2 megapixels?

On the lume pad 2,

Using the camera app, why are the 3d photos only 9.2 megapixels despite being a 16mp sensor?

Secondly: what image sensor chipset does the lume pad 2 use? I assume it’s some Sony sensor but I couldn’t find any details.
