Does leiaplayer view external storage
@balajis17 No, LeiaPlayer only support built-in storage currently. However, you can easily use a file browser app on Android to copy files from an external drive to Lume Pad’s storage, and then it’ll be visible on LeiaPlayer.

If I insert a chip in the slot, it gets detected so I can format it and in settings I can set it as the default storage. But it still does not show in leiaplayer. And it does not store data on the chip. ( If I eject it and open it on my Windows OS Laptop I only see a lot of empty standard folders.) Also USB connections to external SDD chips are detected but apparently inaccessible. I taught I would be able to drag and drop between all sources - external and internal. This is a drawback to an otherwise excellent and truly innovative product which has revolutionised my stereoscopic photography. Even my slides taken by my grandfather in the 1950s, now scanned in, have never looked so good!
Er, well yes. But once you know how to work around it by doing everything externally on USB cable, its worth it.
Bastian, lol…you can do that lol… literally 1’ min ago I transfered some pics to internal storage then back again…it has the same capabilities as a s21 ultra except micro SD support
Go to app store leias… search leia player and click update, your missing out on all the new features
Create a thread for help…might help out future owners and ones that are unaware of all the features and hidden gems this tablet has…I didn’t even know it had face unlock and fingerprint sensor. I also didn’t know you could install a 1 tb micro SD and transfer movies and pictures ect to and from storage. Also didn’t know about the smart image enhancement button, basically turns any photo with ghosting to near flawless. Also they claim 33w charging but it actually does and I can confirm 67w hyper charging., you’d think they would advertise these features or have it in the manual…but I guess these surprises are welcome additions… the tablet without knowing is incredible and after the updates and figuring things out this is easily the number 1 tablet in the world
I have covered all of these features and much more on my YouTube channel. Plan to do the same when the next tablet releases and for other future devices or Lume Pad 2 updates too.

Woah thanks josh, your a god send. Just found out about the leia player 2d to 3d depth slider, didn’t even know it existed. Imagine if they did the same thing but for videos. Depth slider in videos but no convergence or depth slider in the SD card conversions, unless I’m missing something…but honestly for 500 it’s so far away from other tablets value wise it’s in legend status and a class of its own
