Hey everyone! I’m excited to announce that Lume Pad is getting a new firmware update rolling out to both USA and European users starting today: June 27th, 2022.

This update brings a variety of security updates to the AndroidOS underpinnings of LumeUI, ensuring that your Lume Pad experience is safe and secure.

This firmware’s Build Number is as follows: LUME_UI_1.4.4_LPD10_RoW

To learn more about the security updates, you can read Google’s breakdown here. This firmware update brings Lume Pad up to Android Security Patch Level: April 1, 2022. This includes all security patches up till that date.

It begins rolling out today, but it may take a few days to become available to you depending on a variety of factors.

Getting security updates is good.

Official exFAT and NTFS support would be better.

It’s been nearly a year without an update to the firmware. That concerns me from a security perspective.

Also, as a policy, it would be nice if you could support your services through at least two Android releases before taking back to “security only” updates.

Just my two cents, but I’m reasonably sure I’m not alone.
