Final Builds for RED Hydrogen One - Archive?

Hello all - I’ve had an H1 for several years used only for as a pocket 3D camera and viewer. It continues to be a very cool device to this very day - so much so that I recently procured another as a backup in case something should happen to my original.

I missed the original ride and got my H1 after they had already been discontinued - but at the time I was still able to update the Leia apps to the last available version using the Leia Store… I see now that the Store has been upgraded to serve the (now also discontinued) Lume Pad, and this thread suggests that Leia has archived all the apps elsewhere. BUT, it seems like that archive may now be also dead as I cannot seem to access it.

Does anyone have information where the last running H1 version apks can be downloaded? I understand that Leia cannot support products forever, but it seems ridiculous that a few megabytes of storage could not be committed to at least allowing dedicated customers to continue using the products they purchased for as long as they continue to function. Nobody is asking for customer support - just some app files.

Any wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

As a sidenote - obviously Leia has had a rough time attempting to crack the consumer 3D market, as both Lume Pads seem to be heading down the same path the H1 took… If they have any hope of trying a third (fourth? more?) time, consumers are going to look at how they handled previous products before spending on new ones. Or maybe the whole thing is just some kind of tax write-off designed to lose money…

Just wanted to say that I contacted Immersity (Leia ?) support and they graciously provided me with the last available APK files for the camera, LeiaViewer and RedPlayer apps. I have attempted to upload these to APK Mirror for future users. In the meantime, I have also uploaded them to my Google Drive if you need them.

Thanks to the support folks who helped me out!

That’s great, note that in fact the apps are also archived on archive.org where in principle they may remain forever!

By the way, I came here looking for intermediary builds, as apparently in the last version an important feature had gone missing - in strong sunlight the screen should be in (less dim) 2D mode, in 4V it’s then unusable as viewer. […]
PS - correction : in fact that feature is STILL there. But that feature only works with screen brightness set to AUTO; when set manually at maximum brightness, the 4V→2D screen switch does NOT kick in on sunny days!

Thanks for posting the link to the Internet Archive files! While it’s great they are available through them, important files like these should really be hosted by Leia themselves rather than a 3rd party… I am a BIG supporter of the Internet Archive and their work (saved me countless times and provides historic information otherwise lost or possible intentionally erased), but who knows what could happen to them in the future.
