LeiaViewer Access to Sketchfab Explorer Downloads

When I open Sketchfab Explorer it shows the latest models, however when I try to download them it suddenly says “No internet connection” even though it just pulled up the model thumbnails using the internet connection. I used to be able to download Sketchfab models and the tablet is using the internet for many other functions.

I’ve had that issue before. Please clear your LeiaViewer app data and cache and log into SketchFab again, that should resolve your issue.

How would I do that without having to import all the models again?
Is there a way to backup / restore the models folder?
Had the issue at least 3 times and it’s rather frustrating to start all over again.

There is no way to do that. The only path forward if you wish to download new models from SketchFab is to clear the cache.

I recently spent about 8 hours downloading about 200 wonderful animated sketchfab models to the tablet and a couple of days later almost all of them had just disappeared. I had encountered this instability many months ago and hoped it was fixed but apparently not.

Ok, I was assuming the models (sketchfab and from other file sources) would be somewhere in the file system and could therefore be accessed / saved before deleting the cache.

They should be somewhere in the app cache, so it may be accessible with some digging.

Would be great if you could reach out to Joe Hill. He has probably an idea where to dig. Thank you!

Could you please fix this issue! I would even pay for that fix even if I payed for the (presumably working) software already.
LeiaViewer tells me once again “No internet connection” so I have to download all the 3d models again (which I did five times before).
