Lume Pad 2 - LeiaPlayer Cannot Access SDcard

New Lume Pad 2 owner - I have tried two different name brand sdcards (PNY 64GB Elite-X Class 10 U3 and Samsung 128GB Evo Plus Class 10 U3) and when I attempt to access the card using LeiaPlayer it pops up a warning saying that it cannot read or write to the sdcard and to format it in FAT32 format. I have tried formatting both using the built-in format function in the Lume Pad 2 and also formatting in exFAT on my pc with no success… Strange thing is that I can write / move / copy files to the sdcard using the File Manager utility - it only appears to be an issue with LeiaPlayer.

Any suggestions?

Figured it out - needed to use a utility (RUFUS) to format the sdcard in FAT32 format as the error message indicated. Apparently the built-in format function uses exFAT (which is also the only format option by default in Windows) and the LeiaPlayer app does not like that format for some reason. Formatting in FAT32 resolved the issue.

That is strange. I have my 512 Gig SD card formatted to exFat as I have some 3D movies over 4 Gig. They play okay. I do have some issues copying them to the card, but if I try a few times, it eventually works.

Yes, it is weird… I would have thought that all apps would work with the default built-in format type. And the only app that encountered issues was the LeiaPlayer app - the file manager and others seemed to have no problems accessing the sdcard. I am mostly interested in photos and smaller files, so the 4GB limit is not an issue for me right now.
