Can anyone confirm an approximate ship date for the Lume Pad?

My Lume Pad has been turning heads, before I received it.
U.S. Customs checked it out, even though all of the taxes and duties were pre-paid.

They should have asked me about an invite to the forums, for a discount code.

If so, I’m just unsure if what I’m seeing is normal or defective.
The pessimist in me thinks that it’s probably the sad reality.
