Plain black background full screen on Lume Pad 2 After Update

Hi everyone,
Plain black background full screen shows up on my Lume Pad 2 after I installed the latest update. The device powers on, and I can tell it’s responding to touch, but the screen stays completely black, and I can’t use it at all.

I have tried restarting it multiple times, charging it fully, and even doing a soft reset, but nothing has worked so far. This started happening right after the update, so Iam guessing it might be related to that.

Has anyone else run into this problem? Any advice on how to fix it would be really helpful. Thank you.

Are you referring to a System SW (Firmware) over the air download which afterward the tablet does not boot properly? If this is the case, something somehow interrupted or currupted the update.

If all else has failed I recomend a full reset or factory reset by button.

From my notes that works as follows:

  1. Hold the Power button and select “Power Off”
  2. Once off Hold the Power button + Volume Up together until the splash screen is displayed
  3. Press Volume Down one time to highlight the “Wipe data” option
  4. Press the Power button to enter the “Wipe data” menu
  5. Press the Power button on the already highlighted “Factory reset” option
  6. Press the Volume Up button one time to highlight the “Reset” option
  7. Press the Power button to confirm the “Reset” option
  8. Once the reset shows as successful, press the Volume Down button one time to highlight the “Back to previous page” option
  9. Press the Power button to confirm the “Back to previous page” option and return to the previus page
  10. Press the Power button on the already highlighted “Reboot” option to reboot the system and re-start the setup process.
  11. Once in the setup process, do not modify the zoom, font, or screen size settings (these can be modified in the system settings after the device has been setup).
