Installing apk...connecting device

I built an app and when I ran the script that was supposed to install it, I was unable to connect. The device is connected as I can access the internal storage from the PC. Also, Unreal Engine is not recognizing it as a device. How do get my PC to recognize if to transfer the apk? I read something about “developer mode” but I can’t seem to find how to set it. Please advise. Thanks!

Thanks! That did allow the device to connect but now when I try to deploy I get the following:

Your error message was helpful, thank you for adding that.

I was able to reproduce your issue and it looks like it was caused by required libraries being split across OBB files. Please enable Package game data inside .apk option in your Player Settings
(Platforms, Android, APK Packaging)

Thanks! I made that change and the code is going on but it crashes immediately. I was able to capture this: Note that I am still getting the bind listener error. One other point is I don’t have option for a v7 under Build, only V8 or Vulkan

I’m also seeing the following error in my log:
failed to connect to socket ‘tcp:6666’

Hello Wendysarrett,

From the error logs, it looks like your android is getting spammed with network connection logs / errors. This should not impact your built application or the SDK. One way to quiet unneeded logcat messages would be to use Android Studio’s logcat. You can specify the connected device and the application you want to seem messages about.

If you are crashing on start, I suggest you double check your Required Build Settings, specifically the Extra Settings for application section.
