Hey @Rburley - Thanks for the question. Since this fix is a platform update, the LeiaTube app does not need a update.

The resultion is back.
But a video is not playing correctly when sharing with LeiaTube, but plays correctly when playing with out sharing to LeiaTube.
The video is
Costa Rica in 4K 60fps HDR (ULTRA HD)
By Jacob + Katie Schwarz
When shared with LeiaTube it does not run at the correct speed and loose colour and contrast and appears in shades of red blue.
Could this please be looked at

Hi Eric some info that may help to resolve the platform problem the YouTube video Costa Rica in 4K 60fps HDR (ULTRA HD)
When sharing with LeiaTube try touching the options in the top right
3D 360 or 2D 360 or VR180 the colour and contrast come back but the picture is wrong all the other options the picture is still blue/red low contrast and running at wrong speed.
Before the resolution was restored the vido played ok, but with reduced resolution

I have reported the problem to engineering. Being an edge case, it’s not the highest of priorities for them, however, we do have a ticket opened for it and I will track it.

Yeah, I see the same issue. It’s negative color and like 1 FPS.
But I know what the issue is. That Costa Rico video was actually the first HDR video on YouTube (or at least within like the same month it came out) and was likely compressed in an older codec/format before it was standardized.

Yes that video worked.
The interesting bit, after the update to LeiaTube when when the resolution was low the video played ok.
As soon as the resolution was restored the video did not play correct.
Must be a platform problem
I hope Leia can resolve the problem.

It honestly might be on YouTube’s end. I’m not sure if they go back and re-encode old videos.

Hey Eric. Just like to personally thank you for fixing this issue on the LeiaTube app. The video I sent you was just a test so I could see if the settings were working. Yeah, honestly I was surprised how good it came out on the Lume Pad 2. Like obviously the Samsung is 4K and a larger screen, but it’s actually a pretty fair representation of the original video.
