Thank you for the feedback. I will stay away then. So, really a pity that there is nothing to replace H1… Leia seems to have completely abandoned the idea of his own product, really a pity. As a fan since first moment of this company, I really do not understand what is happening overall…really a pity. I see that recently Leiapix is having less and less contributions, but this can be understood since there are very few devices to access this artistic platform.

I second pretty much everything that was mentioned above.

I still pull it out every once and a while to check, but there is never anything new. It’s horrible overall and I do not think the display resembles anything Leia has put out so far. I would be really surprised if the display used their technology, because the 3D quality is worse than anything Leia has released as far as I am aware.

I think someone on the forums a while back from China posted that they hacked the phone and found signs of Leia eye tracking being used. So maybe some Leia software. Either way it doesn’t change the fact that overall the phone is terrible. Doesn’t even support 3D photo or video capture.

I am currently traveling in US still using my beloved H1, still impressive in terms of performance and reliability (it is connected with a huge number of Bluetooth equipment’s, 256Gb shooting nice 3D videos) but starting having problems: I can use data but not phone calls since apparently the voLTE is not identified by the network; I solved so far installing a voip service… and also troubles are starting for the Android 8.1 that I will try to update to Android 9 that I have found years ago somewhere in the net. But it is clear that at some point due to this backward compatibility issues I will have to move to another phone. Leia seemed to imply in the past willing to release a mobile phone with their technology and software, but I have the impression that something is going wrong with Leia… They are focusing more and more in software AI, and discontinuation of Lumepad 2 without a replacement Lumepad 3 is a bad sign. At this point I guess I should purchase an iPhone and Josh’s Spatial Glass. I am not an enthusiast of iPhone, since I have been always considered they focus more on marketing to justify crazy high prices than in the actual quality, so maybe a refurbished slightly older model (?) to pay an honest price: I have seen that Josh is now providing spatial glass for several iPhone versions (thank you!)! Any suggestion? Focus should be compatibility with 5G and 3D possibilities….

Update. At the end I have moved to iPhone and ordered the spatial-glass. I was really sad since H1 was still wonderful, still unique, a nice topic of discussion every time someone spotted such a strange phone at the restaurant. Funny story: at the beginning also iPhone showed same troubles with voice, so the issue was the operator… But problems related to security (many apps, such as Google Wallet, stopped working because of Android 8) became too many to use it as daily driver; I have flashed successfully Android 9, and I was very glad since phone was working smooth and all 3D apps were working, but in a while I have discovered that any app needing some security layer stopped working since the firmware resulted modified (as, in fact, it was by me  ). I have to say that spatial-glass make iPhone a nice replacement for H1: the included player has also many features that we wanted on Leia Player but that never arrived. I would definitively recommend it to any 3D lover, and the speed by which they are adding features is impressive. Of course the exciting echo system of apps that made H1 and lumepad unique (leia viewer, holochat and leia chat, Leiapix etc) are not there :frowning: (yet…)

Yeah, I got one for my iPhone 15 Pro, even though I use Android Pixel as a daily driver. It definitely works well. Obviously not as good as the switchable displays with high-end head-tracking, but it works well enough, especially for the price. I’m happy with it.

I think that there is room for improvement of the eye tracking; probably there are simply some software glitches: for example I have noticed that it keeps tracking well if I move in one direction, and bad in the other direction.

A very good idea they implemented is the possibility to switch off eye tracking: I make some pictures with light effects that can be visible only without eye tracking, and that e.g. you cannot appreciate in Lumepad 2 (imagine e.g. a light shining thru branch trees). Moreover, a very nice feature is the fact that it is able to identify cinematic pictures as well as Sbs as 3D; however, at the same time I have seen that “fine tuning” of the two kind of images to avoid ghosting is extremely different, and likely the casual user can have initially some difficulty. Considering the speed of the improvement I’m confident it will converge to a very good approach.

Yeah, the head-tracking isn’t amazing, but they could fix that in a software update. Overall though, when you’re in the sweet spot and don’t move around too much, it looks great.
