Oh… thank you! Hopefully he is aware that the rest of their SpatialLabs range (16-inch laptops) are even more dependent on a working movie player. Although it runs on these machines, it is buggy and incomplete - and has been for years.
So, like I said. The Stereoscopic Player works.

It can open almost any format, and then you set the output to SBS half-width and use SpatialLabs Go to make it 3D. Granted, this means you may be splitting the resolution in half twice (so potentially only 1080P quality) but this is fine cause Blu-Ray 3D is all 1080P anyway.
See this image using an over-under 3D version of Final Destination.
If it would work with my Mac mini, I would take it right away and place it on my desk for work (2D) and occasionally play movies (2D and 3D).
Stereoscopic Player is Windows only. I’m planning to support Linux/macOS/Windows.
I just took the “SpatialLabsExperienceCenter_Monitor_1.3.256_W11x64” package that was meant for the SpatialLabs Predator 27’’ monitor, copied it over to my 16’’ SpatialLabs laptop, extracted its contents with 7-Zip, installed the 1.0.238 display service, thought it might have done little to nothing - but then I couldn’t believe it:
SpatialLabs Go is now dramatically improved! Almost no ghosting, I’d say it’s on a par with SpatialLabs Player. That clearly wasn’t the case before. And I always update with all the SpatialLabs driver components. I can’t say exactly what happened, I didn’t check what versions I had before.
However, I’m currently running SpatialLabs Display Service v.1.03.2038 and Acer XR Service v1.01.2055 and SRService v1.30.2 and can confirm that SpatialLabs Go has a pretty ghost-free image quality even on Acer’s 16’’ SpatialLabs laptop line. In general, this means that any side-by-side full-screen movie content can be viewed in 3D using any Windows-based player software. Stereoscopic Player and PotPlayer use too many resources for my taste, but VLC works well. It still uses a bit more resources than the old SR Player V0.19 from Dimenco, but it works really smoothly. Most functions are accessible via shortcuts, like changing language tracks. Of course, it can’t handle subtitles and depth adjustment for 3D, but it makes us a bit more independent of Acer’s own shitty Movie (SpatialLabs) player.
Great news!!! I will try this and see if it helps me install it. Thanks.
You’re the best. It works now. So in order to by-pass this bug this is what you need to do. Download the Experience Center EXE file. Use 7-zip to extract it to a folder. IMPORTANT: Run the player exe (or the one with the issue) with right-click “Run as Admin”. It will ask you to uninstall. So click okay to uninstall. Then double click the EXE for the player but NOT run as admin. It will just install normally. Now restart your computer for Experience Center to refresh. Working.
the latest update messed up SpatialLabs Go sbs for me and when I try to activate it with alt+g it doesn’t turn on and takes like 3 minutes for it to and it even slows down my whole PC and makes it lag so I went back to 1.3.219 I think it is which i have some backups of older versions and I don’t have the problem with this version and I can even use the old version of the SpatialLabs player with StreamTo3D which I like the effect of the real time 2d to 3d conversion better than SpatialLabs Go AI conversion
If you haven’t check out VRto3D I been playing Silent Hill 2 Remake with it and UEVR and it’s glorious!
I have the same issue. SpatialLabs Go sometimes takes 30 seconds to enable, or freezes the PC and doesn’t work. Or I have to press it a few times. Performance is also poor considering how expensive my PC is.
Talking of performance: I was considering buying this 27" monitor and a Windows mini PC as a bundle (as it won’t work with my Mac mini). The Windows Mini PC would be mounted on the back of the monitor. What specs would you recommend if this is to be used primarily with SpatialLabs Go? From my own experience, some 4K SBS content can require quite a bit of performance once SpatialLabs Go is enabled. And what makes me hesitant is not the cost, but the noise that a more powerful mini PC might produce. One option might be an ARM-based Mini PC (if SpatialLabs Go is compatible with it). But I couldn’t even find one.
Honestly, I’m not sure. Like if the issue is CPU or GPU related. I just noticed that it’s not the full refresh rate, and even 60 FPS is too much. Works fine for film, which is 24Hz or many YouTube videos which are 30Hz. But at 60 FPS I can see it’s not keeping up.
Same here. I think it’s more CPU related. GPU never really spikes, but CPU does.
I’m using a legion go and sgw-zone 4060 Egpu and performance is good I also pretty much eliminated the lag from SpatialLabs Go and I can play dead by daylight on PS5 with the AI conversion which needs fast reaction I wrote what I did here Reddit - Dive into anything
So that method worked for 60hz but I got a new switch and cables and I’m running with just the predator 27 on and at 144hz and lag is minimal
Welp now I’m getting lag with the sbs mode to
Yeah. Even with my PC, it doesn’t seem like above 30 FPS is very solid with the Go app. this is understandable due to how intensive 3D conversion is, but it would have been nice to have a lower-quality performance mode for 60 FPS videos or games.
Same. And fun fact: I have 90fps sbs blockbuster movies which are perfectly played, 100% butter-smooth with the old SR Player V0.19 (SR means Simulated Reality and is the former Dimenco/Leia product). But when playing them with SpatialLabs Go, I get about 30fps only, and camera movement is jerky. The new Acer SpatialLabs player would also play them smoothly, but it can’t decode EAC3 audio, nor can it open files from a NAS via SMB.
For sure. I got the player working, but the two films I tried have no audio.
I swear I had both modes working without lag using my extended monitor method with games but now I can only get no lag on PS5 remote play with chiaki-ng I guess cuz it’s just a stream and the 3d looks good. But I been using VRto3D and 3DGamebridge exists and they have compatibility with alot of games without any lag so SpatialLabs Go isn’t the only option.
Just realized I need to set the predator back to 60hz like I had it before and try my extended monitor solution cuz the legion go is running at 144hz if it has to do with anything and I’m sure it worked before and I’m not sure why this worked but I did get a popup like once that I think said running SpatialLabs as extended has better compatibility
