I see. Try the Samsung browser. It works better…
The sensor between the two selfie cameras should be an IR emitter led and an IR plus VIS photodetector. LTR578 according to APP Device Info HW.
Chrome works. I mean, it’s fine. Like I’m enjoying the tablet and I’d recommend buying it. I guess I’m just disappointed it’s not everything it could be. But it’s still probably the best 3D mobile device available. Actually just started watching the 3D Blu-Ray of Alita Battle Angel on it and it looks incredible. For sure the screen blows everything else away. So if you have a PC and can convert the movies to the correct format, it works great.
Thanks, can you suggest a suitable 3d format and conversion PC software?
The tablet supports the normal SBS format. It’s just that if you have 3D Blu-Ray, there is no way to connect a Blu-Ray disc drive, so you have to make an MP4 file or whatever. I still need to figure out exactly what the issue is, cause some video files are either black, or play the video, but with no audio. Pretty annoying. I’ve used DVDFab before, but there are a few ways to do it.
You really should factory reset your tablet, because I see NOTHING even close to this, and all our tablets are the same. After (glitchy) firmare update, both Youtube app & site in browser work silky smooth, no hiccups, no audio sync issues - nothing. And 3D effect itself is INCREDIBLE, I cannot understand how on Earth Leia achieved this in realtime, using mobile chip.
Don’t believe me? Check this out: here’s a real 8K SBS 3D animation, and here is 2D that looks amazing after conversion. Just compare.
(In order to see YouTube 3D on a tablet you should probably download video file, because mobile YouTube cannot display 3D. It is for 3DTVs & VR)
Sorry, wrong link & no way to edit post :\ Here’s the correct link.
Okay, I’ll try this. Perhaps it’s some sort of software glitch.
Just tried that with “4K Video downloader”; you should select “MKV” container and “VP9” codec, then you’ll see 4K 30FPS 3D SBS file to download (650mb in my case). Send it to the tablet and open as usual in Leia 3D player (with flags “SBS half-width”)
So is it stuck to 30 fps or does it perform higher?
I’ll reset later today, though I wasn’t the only one noticing performance issues.
does the reset work?
Sorry. I wanted to finish watching a movie on it before I reset. I’ll look into it tonight.
Thank you. The last update is OS 9.0.19_NP02J, before it was OS 9.0.16_NP02J. Interesting where the factory reset brings the system.
Reset does not change version of firmware, just removes downloaded soft and your settings…
But what I really want to say, is that Leia updated 3D services in background and the “flashing glitch” is gone completely, on every image & video 3D is once again rock-stable! We don’t need to check every day for the next firmware anymore…
mine is still flashing, which versions of Leia media services, Leia display config and Leia face tracking you have?
Leia media services - 0.5.50
Leia display config - 0.10.40
Leia face tracking - 0.10.18
3D Mode - 1.0.000.2410111017
3D Viewer - 2.2.4
3D Expansion - 1.0.000.2409030857
regarding Leia apps, I have the same versions.
I do not know of the remaining apps.
I have a 3D Player version 13.1.000.000.2410111501.
Still vibrating horizontally as usual …
ok 3dviewer is 2.2.4 it is 3D(some chinese symbols) in my tablet.
System is OS9.0.19_NP02J
Flickering is gone, for sure, but now it started to skip sound & break lip-sync in YouTube app. It seams, that “fix” they applied was simply reverting code to the old version, that was slow but flicker-free…
